AROMATIQUEを生み出す私たちの原点には、そんな“見えないもの”に向き合ってきた時間がある。
1930年、奈良で生地づくりからスタートしたタカギは、時代とともに、女性の暮らしに寄り添うものづくりへと歩みを進めていった。やがて手がけるようになったのが、サニタリーショーツ──当時は“ふんどしショーツ”と呼ばれていたかたちのもの。
1960年にナプキンの販売が始まったそのタイミングで、ズレにくく、しっかりフィットする新たなショーツを生み出すために、ストレッチ素材の開発にも踏み込んだ。
誰もがまだ試行錯誤していた時代に、私たちは“ショーツ”とまっすぐに向き合っていた。 だからこそ今も、この小さな一枚に、長年の知見と工夫が息づいている。

Shorts aren’t often talked about. But they are always there, closest to the skin, quietly supporting us through each day.
At the heart of AROMATIQUE lies a long history of dedicating care to the things that aren’t always seen.
Founded in 1930 in Nara as a fabric manufacturer, Takagi gradually shifted toward creating products that gently supported women’s daily lives. One such product was the sanitary short—known at the time in a loincloth-like form.
In 1960, as disposable sanitary napkins became widely available, we began developing stretch fabrics with polyurethane to create shorts that stayed in place and offered reliable comfort.
While many were still exploring possibilities, we were already working closely with what would become an essential part of everyday wear. And that commitment still lives on in every piece we create today.
AROMATIQUE may be known for its camisoles and bra camisoles. But in truth, many customers buy our shorts in multiples—and return for them again and again.
