レースには、少しだけ空気を変える力があると思う。

AROMATIQUEがデビューした2014年。 最初に生まれたのが、バックレースのキャミソールだった。 インナーにレースを使うこと自体は、当時も珍しいことではなかった。 でも、背中に大胆に、そして広くレースをあしらうというデザインは、まだ多くはなかった時代。 今でこそ見かけることも増えたけれど、当時はとても新鮮で、まさにAROMATIQUEを象徴する“顔”のような存在になった。

今でも変わらず支持され続けているのは、レースという素材が持つ力と、日常にそっと寄り添ってくれる在り方のおかげかもしれない。 肌に優しく寄り添う素材と繊細なレースの組み合わせは、インナーとしてだけでなく、背中が少し開いたトップスや、透け感のあるニット、シャツの下にも美しくなじみます。“見せるインナー”として、日常のスタイリングに取り入れやすいアイテムです。

主に使用しているのは、フランスの老舗レースメーカー、Sophie Hallette（ソフィアレット）のリバーレース。 130年以上の歴史を持ち、英国キャサリン妃のウエディングドレスやベールにも使用された、繊細で気品あるレース。 AROMATIQUEでは、このレースの柄の美しさだけでなく、 肌に触れたときのやさしさ、動きに寄り添うストレッチ性にもこだわって選んでいる。
